Know Your Rights trainings are part of our effort to take a comprehensive approach to inform immigrants of their legal and civil rights, provide the tools to defend those rights, and engage communities to address the roots causes of immigration injustice. The training is interactive and incorporates informative handouts, case studies, as well as a question and answer session with trainers. Know Your Rights trainings are also an invitation for participants to engage in our immigrant justice campaigns.

Themes discussed in the trainings include defending your rights when interacting with ICE and the police; what to do if law enforcement comes to your door; what to do if you’re detained; and basic constitutional rights.
